Program Overview

This course is designed to provide interviewers with advanced evidence disclosure and strategic empathy skills to be incorporated into the interview process.  This will include deploying the Strategic Use of Evidence (SUE) technique to strategically disclose evidence after having locked the interviewee into their story.  It will also discuss the application of strategic empathy and our need to focus on ensuring understanding.

We will examine why individuals provide false information and how it almost always falls under the reasons of rationalization, projection, and minimization (RPM). Further we will discuss the decision-makers and third person viewpoint models and how to effectively use them.  Advancing these skills will allow the interviewer to more fully identify with the interviewee, optimizing the possibility of getting complete and truthful information.  This instruction will be heavily directed toward establishing strategic empathy that would be most applicable to each interview.
