Prior to his IGCIA assignment, Mr. Anderson served as a Detailed Instructor with the Behavioral Science Division (BSD) at FLETC, where he instructed both basic and advanced courses for uniform law enforcement and criminal investigators. During his tenure with BSD, he played a pivotal role in designing, constructing, and presenting the division’s Advanced Interviewing program, while also writing and modifying curriculum requirements to incorporate the latest scientific research and best practices.

His federal service includes positions as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, handling general crimes, foreign counterintelligence, drug investigations, and international terrorism cases. He also served as a Special Agent with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Office of Investigations, conducting investigations involving fraud, abuse, and corruption regarding NRC-regulated entities, and later with the DOJ/OIG investigating allegations of fraud, abuse, corruption, and waste in federal agencies under DOJ jurisdiction.
His state-level experience includes service as Deputy Inspector General and Director of Internal Audit in the New York State Office of the Inspector General, assigned to the Division of Military and Naval Affairs and other state agencies. He also served as a Confidential Investigator with statewide agency responsibilities. Additionally, Mr. Anderson has corporate sector experience as a Director of Security, supervising staff and executing comprehensive security programs.
Academic Contributions and Teaching Excellence
Mr. Anderson contributed significantly to criminal justice education as an adjunct instructor in undergraduate criminal justice programs at Alvernia College and Lycoming College in Pennsylvania.
